**First Baptist Church of Crown Heights | Good Friday Service**
Join us as First Baptist Church of Crown Heights gathers in solemn worship for our Good Friday service, *At Calvary: Seven Last Words at the Cross.* We are honored to welcome a distinguished company of ministers from across Brooklyn, Harlem, and New York City as we reflect together on the final words spoken by our Savior from the cross — words of forgiveness, promise, love, anguish, need, completion, and surrender.
Our service opens with a song of praise from the Mass Choir and a Call to Worship led by our Pastor, Rev. Dr. Rashad Raymond Moore, before the congregation is led in the beloved hymn “At Calvary” and a responsive reading on the cross. Together, we journey through each of the Seven Last Words, proclaimed by seven powerful voices: Minister Phillip L. Anderson, Rev. Sharmine Byrd of Greater Mt. Carmel Cathedral, Rev. Alicia Bailey of St. John’s AME Church, Reverend Dominique Lester, Rev. Dr. Clive Neil of Bedford Central Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Stephanie Joy Grigg of St. Luke AME Church, and Rev. Dr. Malcolm Byrd of Mother AME Zion Church. Between the words, our ministry of music lifts the atmosphere with “No Greater Love” and “The Blood Still Works” — a reminder that what happened at Calvary still matters today.
